Virat Kohli- The New Shining Star of Indian Cricket Team

It has been five years of commitment, consistency and hard work by Virat Kohli which is currently bearing fruits for him. Few days back, in a one day match against West Indies at Kochi, Virat Kohli override the milestone of fastest 5000 runs in ODIs which was initially set by Vivian Richards. And currently, he has being referred as most sought after player in Indian Cricket team after end of Fab-Four Era because of his achievements and consistency, which has being showed by him from past five years.
His aggressive approach towards the game has always helped him to score big chase for the opponent team. Currently, Kohli is holding the number One spot in ICC ODI rankings and also become the highest run scorer of the year in 50-50 cricket format. Not to forget his next to perfect on-field techniques which have always made him outshine over others.

Since the very beginning or we can also say that just after his U-19 World Cup- 2008 win, he has been seen only rising in his cricket career.

Virat Kohli, Delhi based cricketer, has not only played a crucial role in ICC World Cup-2011 but also lead his U-19 team in Kuala Lumpur for the U-19 World Cup.

Kohli has been seen delighted after every accomplishing all the hard to get tasks. May be that’s the only reason behind his success. In the current year he has played 30 ODI matches in which he has scored seven half centuries and four centuries and 1218 runs in total having an average of 58 & 98 as the strike rate. And in his previous inning he scored some smashing 99 runs which helped him to hop on the top spot on the list of ‘Top Run Getter of 2013’. Previously Rohit Sharma was placed on that spot with 1155 as the total scored runs.

It is all about the class Kohli maintains throughout his game, it was never about the runs. He outshines in the most difficult conditions and had also scored his two centuries out of four in such conditions only.
